Department: Computer Science and Mathematics
Instructor – Computer Science HV-FAC-CS 9830
Full-Time Probationary
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s or higher degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Specialization in Cybersecurity or a related field is desirable. The successful candidate will have industry experience, as well as experience teaching cybersecurity and computer science courses at the post-secondary level. Courses will include computer basics, programming, cyber defense best practices, industry standards, ethical hacking, network security, and computer ethics. In addition, experience with robotics, including industrial robotics, or Artificial Intelligence, is a plus. Demonstrated teaching expertise. Daytime, in-person availability required.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Instructor will report to the Department Chair for Computer Science and Mathematics and perform the following duties:
• Provide classroom and on-line instruction in Computer Science courses within the department.
• Evaluate student performance.
• Participation on departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community
• Professional development is encouraged and supported.
• At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
The Salary for this academic year position is $52,500.00.
