The Executive Director of the EOC is an effective, progressive, and dynamic administrator who demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. The Capital District EOC is an adult education center that provides academic and vocational training of low-income residents, and helps eligible residents enhance their academic and workforce development skills to become self-sufficient, empowered, and committed to excellence. The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of operations for the Center including instruction, student support services, facility management, personnel, and fiscal affairs. The Executive Director reports to the President of Hudson Valley Community College/SUNY or his/her designee and collaborates with the University Center (SUNY) for Academic and Workforce Development, Hudson Valley Community College, and the directors of other EOC's statewide. The incumbent enhances, supports, and maintains external relationships with civic and business organizations, governmental agencies, corporate entities and community-based organizations to advance the services provided by the Center.

Qualifications for Employment:
Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related field, with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in an educational or business setting, full-time, senior experience in educational/training setting with responsibility for managing a multi-department entity, experience serving high-need, culturally diverse, adult populations, demonstrated record as an innovative and creative leader, experience and knowledge of educational practice and workforce preparation, knowledge of local and State-wide business, economic and industry priorities, excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and experience in community outreach, advocacy and building collaborations required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years of minimum experience in the administration of adult and nontraditional student educational opportunity, intermediate computer skills in administrative, educational, and people management/systems and technology, engagement marketing experience, three to five years of teaching adult and/or non-traditional students, experience in curricular/program development, assessment and evaluation, and a record of community engagement and the procurement of external funds through state, federal and /or philanthropic sources preferred.
The Executive Director of the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center reports to the President HVCC and performs the following duties:
1. Responsible for the day to day administration of all areas of the institution, including Academic Affairs, Business Affairs, Facility Operations, Student Support, and Research and Development.
2. Establish long- and short-term goals for the EOC that are consistent with SUNY EOC Guidelines and objectives and goals ofr UCAWD and Hudson Valley Community College.
3. Consistent with Hudson Valley Community College, develops policies relating to the operation of the Center.
4. Prepare and administer the EOC budget and adhere to budgetary policy in accordance with the New York State Finance Law and procedures.
5. Direct and supervise the recruitment, selection, and recommendation of all new staff members according to established Hudson Valley Community College Human Resources policies and procedures.
6. Recommend reappointment, promotion, dismissal, salaries, and other matters of concern related to individuals and departments within the EOC.
7. Leads the EOC staff in the review and evaluation of curricula and programs within the Center.
8. Participates in institution-wide strategic planning, program research and development, analytical research studies, as well as the development, implementation and evaluation of grant proposals.
9. Direct matters relating to EOC program accreditation, grants, affiliations, and articulation agreements with off-campus agencies.
10. Develops favorable and cooperative relationships between the EOC and public, private, and nonprofit organizations, including professional associations and agencies.
11. Reports regularly to the President of the College, per his/her requests.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
The salary range for this position is $125,000-$135,000.
